Freezer paper Stencils and cutting tricks
This tutorial is about stenciling lettering or a simple graphic whilst on a budget. Keep checking back for tutorials about how to create long lasting, intricate stencils and creating stencils in Photoshop.
If this is your first time using a craft knife, it might be best to choose a really simple shape to get in some cutting practice :]

Step 1
1. Pick a graphic or text that you want to make into a stencil. For this tutorial I've chosen the name of my favourite band, Jacks Mannequin (because I've wanted a Jack's tee forever!). Print off your image.
-
Step 2
Next, take your freezer paper and place over the top of your print out, waxy side down and trace your image. The freezer paper is going to act as the stencil.
-
Step 3
Once you have traced, cut out the lettering from the freezer paper with the craft knife. If you have a cutting board, grab that. If not, a chopping board or heavy old book will do.
The freezer paper is just greaseproof paper but it's waxy on one side. It's american so when you buy it here it can be a little expensive but if you go here on ebay, you can get a good deal and it lasts ages :]
