About
Delicious S'more flavored bars without all the mess.
I love s’mores, I’m addicted to them and if you told me that you had thought up some new and inventive way to make them I would eat them, just because they were s’more flavored. You could come to me with a recipe for a tuna fish sandwich with s’more ingredients incorporated and I would eat it. I probably wouldn’t like it much, but I would eat it. S’mores and vegimites, deep fried s’mores, you name it and I will eat it.So it’s probably no surprise to you that I have made an unconventional marshmallow treat that tastes exactly like a s’more, just with less mess. Really once I made homemade gharam crackers this was just a matter of time. The only thing these bars are missing is the hassle of roasting and flaming marshmallows. It was also dangerously easy to make these, so much so that I’m preemptively worrying for my health.

Step 1
Melt your butter in a pan over medium low heat and then add your marshmallows and allow them to melt down. Also at this time chop up your gharam crackers until they’re in small bite-sized pieces. You will also want to chop up your chocolate bars into smaller pieces as well. You could use chocolate chips but they don’t lose their shape and don’t have the same taste so I don’t recommend it. Now would also be a good time to put some lightly greased aluminum foil into a small baking dish (8 x 8).

Step 2
Once your marshmallow is fully melted incorporate your gharam cracker pieces and turn off the heat. If you need more gharam crackers add them now just make sure that you act very quickly. You want all of your ingredients prepped before it’s time to put them in because marshmallow fluff is not merciful and once it starts to cool it’s basically game over.

Step 3
I had thought to do this as layers so I could get chocolate pieces all throughout but the marshmallow was just cooling too fast so I chucked it all into the baking dish and sprinkled the chocolate on top. You could also add your chocolate right before you dish it out so you get marbled chocolate throughout but I was worried about creating chocolate-less pockets of sadness so I didn’t.
