Cute... AND toddler-friendly!
This pattern is from the book "Sleepytown Days: Craft Projects for Little Ones from the Vanessa-Ann Collection" published in 1986. For the date, I would actually make almost all of these projects for my little ones, updating the colors or fabric. The book has sewing, crochet, and knit patterns. This doll is from that book, and is actually a combo of the larger and smaller versions of the doll (Sorry no title, in the midst of moving, and the book is already in storage). In addition, I converted the knit instructions to crochet using the slip stitch crochet method on the fly, which is why I labeled this "Tricky"). I embroidered the eyes, suspenders, and hair, so it would be baby and toddler-friendly. When I move, my daughter wants one of these for herself, since this one was traded for some pottery!
