Scarf Knit With Comb

What a great idea! My daughters love doing handwork and the simpler the better! My 6 year old will especially enjoy this trick ;).

This is really cute and fun.. Would of never thought of a comb.. When i was a kid we used to do finger knitting... kind of the same idea but with your hands..(never had to worry about loosing your comb or tool ) any way.. going to show this to my granddaughters they will love it ! Thanks for the great ideas!! so Creative and Crafty...

Used to do this all the time. Used up mom's wool and then I felted and made little purses. But using the floss stick is a new idea.

would using a crochet hook be easier - I'll have to try it out & let you know

I really want to use this but I am having a very hard time figuring it out. I have a wide comb not a pick I have woven it in and out 2 teeth at a time but when I wrap it back around as in finger weaving and then take the bottom over the top I am not getting any slack and it gets tighter and tighter. I am not sure what I am doing wrong? Can someone explain the e wrap?

When your pulling the loops over is the one from one side and then one from the other side or are the loops all from one side?I'm kinda having a hard time getting it..smile..
and you put on 4 rows before you pull the loops over? thank you very much

Clever! So much less complex than the knitting and purling routine.

There is actually a thing called a "Knitting Pal" that I used to use often that is the same idea with comb-like segments and tools that you can feed the yarn through.
Its really cool but its from like the 60's or 70's so its hard to find (I'm lucky my mom had one and saved it)
You should look it up.

i know how to chrochet but i've tried to knit but, i haven't been suc sessful, but this was easy! your a genius!

This was a good idea, so I wouldn't loose my toothpic I made a little tape band at the bottom to keep my toothpic when I'm not using it. Great idea!!!

My toothpicks broke everytime I use a small crochetneedle, works better xD
