Always been jealous of Wilma Flintstone's awesome rock necklace? Well, now you can have your own! :)
It wouldn't let me add stuff in the 'you will need' section; so I'll put that here.
You will need:
Sculpey Clay (one of the little block things should be fine)
a clay cutting knife (or any knife without a serrated blade)
some wire and wire cutters

I hope my tutorial is easy to understand!

  • Step 1

Take a small glob of your clay and roll it into a ball.

  • Step 2

Hack off some of the parts of the ball with your knife. You should have an odd looking ball with flat sides and angled edges.

  • Step 3

Roll your glob of clay in your hands (like you were trying to roll it back into a ball) until the edges are smoothed out and not as pointy.

  • Step 4

Cut a piece of wire that is as big around as you want the hole of your bead to be. Do not remove the wire until you are done baking your beads.

  • Step 5

Use the previous steps to make as many rock beads as you want, then; bake your beads in an oven.

I usually heat my oven to 225°F and bake them in a glass dish (like you would use for baking brownies or cake) with foil in the bottom. I usually bake them for 15 min (if they don't seem to be baked well after that, put them in for another 15 minutes).
Hope that clears things up for you! Happy sorry for not getting to this sooner
