Decorate those plain glass tumblers and make them a whole lot more fun by adding some gold polka dots.
I can't help it, when I see something plain I instantly want to give it a little more dazzle. Gold polka dots definitely do the trick with this easy DIY!

  • How to make a glass. Polka Dot Glasses - Step 1
    Step 1

Unroll your masking tape and press/adhere one edge to a surface, such as a table, so you can hold it taut.

  • Step 2

Use your hole puncher to randomly punch holes on the masking tape. If you place your finger underneath where you are punching, it will punch the sticky side of the punched out tape onto your finger.

  • Step 3

As you punch circles out of the masking tape, place them in a scattered manner onto one of your glasses. You can place as many or as few as you’d like in whatever order you’d like. When painted, the glass will look like the one on the right in the first picture.

  • Step 4

When you have finished punching the masking tape, take your other glass and carefully wrap the punched tape around it. Start at the bottom, making sure the entire bottom edge is covered. Wrap the tape once around, then repeat with a new piece just above so the whole glass is covered. When painted this glass will look like the one on the left in the first picture.

    Step 5

Cover the top and bottom of the glass (wherever you don’t want it to be gold) with tape. You don’t want spray paint inside your glass.

  • Step 6

According to your spray paints’ directions apply a thin layer of spray paint to your glass until completely covered.

  • Step 7

Once dry, very carefully remove the paint. I did it quickly at first and some of the paint peeled. Don’t make the same mistake I did, take your time.

  • Step 8

Once all the tape is off, coat with a spray lacquer and let dry.
