About
Two fat quarters makes three (maybe four) crayon rolls!
It took me an hour to make these three crayon rolls from two fat quarters of fabric. There are just enough scraps leftover, I'm going to attempt to sew them together to maybe make one more scrappy/quilted-look crayon roll.
I used a medium-weight fusible interfacing because that's what I had on hand, but I would use a lighter weight next time. Also, next attempt I plan to adjust the tutorial's measurements of 3/4 inch per pocket to 1" per pocket, as the pockets are just too snug and it's hard (for a small child) to get the crayons in and out easily. This will reduce the pockets from 16 to 12, but that's fine with me. And I'm going to try switching out the ribbon for round elastic, again to make it a bit easier for small children.

I used to have a pack of crayons everywhere just in case I needed them. My room, the kitchen, the car, my grandmother's purse, my travel bag. Wish my mom had made me one of these!
