• Step 1

  Cut a base out of material. This needs to be a little bigger than you intend to make your cushion so that it can be sewn

• Step 2

  Cut strips of fabric, they can be any colour or shape. For this cushion i have stuck with 3 different fabrics in strips.

  Arrange and pin these strips to the fabric

  Step 4

  Sew them all to the base. This can be done by hand if it is a small cushion but I would recommend using a machine

• 

  Step 5

  Cut off the excess material.

• 

  Step 6

  Now, cut your backing fabric. This should be the same size as your original base

• 

  Step 7

  With right sides together, sew the two pieces together but leave a hole so that it can be turned through and stuffed.

• 

  Step 8

  Now, turn through...

• 

  Step 9

  ...and stuff!

• 

  Step 10

  Discreetly hand sew the hole up.

• 

  Step 11

  Finished!
