Need to label glasses for a party? Make it easy to match the glass and the guest!
You know what it's like at a party. Everyone has a glass, and they all look the same. If they're disposable, you can go with names written in permanent marker, but that's so boring. There's always rings and things available to loop around your wine glass, but what if your glass doesn't have a stem?

Printable tattoo paper can be used for more than just back-of-the-hand kid decorating. It sticks nicely to glass, and can be removed easily when the party is over. The designs you can use are only limited by your imagination. You can also solve the problem of guests trying to remember which pic was on their glass - make a matching one for them to wear!

    Step 1

Following the directions on your package of tattoo paper, print out the design you'd like to use. Make sure you have two of each pic.

If there are words or other directional design elements, reverse it to a mirror image before printing. Once dry, apply the adhesive sheet as directed.

Cut out the tattoos near the edge of the design. Any clear paper you leave outside your design will transfer to your glass, so keep that in mind when deciding how close to cut.

If you have a Silhouette, you can also use that to cut out the shapes.

Make sure the outside of your glass is clean. You can wipe it with rubbing alcohol to be sure there's no residue left that will prevent your tattoo from sticking. This works on glass, ceramic and plastic glasses and mugs.

Peel the clear plastic off of the tattoo and place the sticky side against the glass. Rub well to make sure the entire design is stuck.

Wet a sponge or paper towel thoroughly and place it on top of the design. Wait 15 - 20 seconds, or until the paper comes away from the back of the tattoo easily.

Allow the tattoo to dry for about an hour before use.

Provide a dish of matching tattoos and water so your guests can apply the tattoo that coordinates with their glass using the same method.

Imagine how fun this matching game might get as the evening progresses! ;-)

You may want to caution your guests against rubbing the tattoo if their glass becomes covered with condensation on the outside, as their tattoo may begin to peel.

To remove the tattoos from the glasses after the party is over, just wash with soap and water. I had to scrape a bit with my fingernail to get it started. If you have trouble removing the residue, just wipe with rubbing alcohol.
