Mini Zine
This project makes a zine thats 8 pages. (including front and back cover) The most important part, is when you fold, line up all the edges as perfect as you can, and crease well. These work great for little fliers or comic books or whatever you want. If you photocopy the paper after you have done all the designing, then you can have all the copies you want to distribute.

Step 1
Start by folding the paper hamburger style.
Step 2
Unfold the paper and then fold the sides in to meet the first crease you made. Then it should look like the picture.
Step 3
Unfold everything and then fold the paper hot dog style.
Step 4
Make sure everything is creased well by folding the paper one way and then the other. When you are done unfold the paper, and you should have 8 little sections as shown in this picture.
Step 5
This picture is just to show the layout of the pages. Now you can go on designing the pages however you want!
Step 6
Fold the paper so it looks like a "W" like this.
Step 7
Now cut the center segment. Be careful not to cut past the center segment. The alignment of the folds and this cut are the most important part of this project.
Step 8
Fold the paper hot dog style, and squish out the center where you cut. (see picture) Pull it all together so it looks like a plus sign.
Step 9
Find the front cover and pull everything else in behind it. Now you're done!

I didn't know what the hamburger and hot dog things were but I got it! I have done this before (my teacher also taught me this) and I have, since then, forgotten... Now I'm gonna make some books >=D

you're using your noggin! These would be great to make up for kids to make a book about what they like or anything! You could also mount this into an altered book too! so many uses!

I just picked up "How to make books; fold, cut, & stitch your way to a one of a kind book" and this was in there. I never even thought about this for a really simple book. It's such a great idea!

Opposites-girl: folding hotdog means folding the paper longways across from left to right (long, like a hot dog). Hamburger means folding shortways from top to bottome (short & compact, like a hamburger).
