About
Based on Mini Top Hats by Mickie
I needed a hat or fascinator for our office Melbourne Cup (horse race) party. I won best dressed and everyone loved the mini top hat!
The hat is made from a plastic cup, covered in black felt. Silver braiding on the edges to hide the joins, hot pink fluffy feathers and some long black feathers for height. I didn't have a cameo, so I used some vintage lace to make a ruffle and added a sparkly rinestone. Really happy with how this turned out.
