You Will Need

Step 1
Cast on 88 stitches, using size 4 needles.
row 1-8...ribbing...K1, P1.
row 9-13...Stockinette...Knit row, Purl row.
row 14-18 K36 (green), K4 (black), K8 (green), K4 (black), K36 (green). On reverse side/wrong side Purl the Knit stitches.
Next 6 rows... K36 (green), K16 (black), K 36 (green). On reverse side/wrong side Purl the Knit stitches.
Next 6 rows... full rows of stockinette stitch in green.
Next 4 rows... K40 (green), K8 (black), K40 (green).
Next 10 rows... K32 (green), K8 (black), K8 (green), K8 (black), K32 (green).
Continue in green only using the stockinette stitch until the piece measures 6" or your desired length.

Starting to decrease stitches...
K9, K2 together repeat across row (80 sts).
Purl every in between row.
K8, K2 together repeat (72 sts).
Purl.
K7, k2 together repeat (64 sts).
Purl.
K6, K2 together repeat (56 sts.
Purl.
K5, K2 together repeat (48 sts).
Purl.
K4, K2 together repeat (40 sts).
Purl.
K3, K2 together repeat (32 sts).
Purl.
K2, K2 together repeat (24 sts).
Purl.
K1, K2 together repeat (16 sts).
Purl.
K2 together repeat (8 sts).
Leave a 12" tail, weave the tail through the stitches and tighten. Sew the seam using the loose wool.
I used UK4 but the wool will stretch anyway. Thanks
