A cover-up gone siren.
This canvas previously held a HIDEOUS painting I attempted of a carnation and a hummingbird. I was so disgusted with the previous painting that I decided to just paint completely over it. As I blacked and blued out the canvas, I decided I would create a mermaid in a dark sea, surrounded by corals and plants. And here she is.
