• 

  Step 1

  You will need to cut out two squares of felt for each “game piece”, measuring 7cm by 7cm-use the pinking shears. Make as many pairs as you would like game pieces. To add an extra thrill to the game, the matching pair has different colours!

  Step 2

  Draw a 4.5cm square on the sheet of paper, cut it out and place in the centre of one of the felt pieces. Draw a small dot in each corner and cut out the inner square so that we create a “frame piece”.

  Step 3

  Create as many game pieces as you need.

• 

  Step 4

  Cut out squares of white cotton material measuring 6cm-make sure you iron them or the stamped images will look uneven.

• 

  Step 5

  Decorate the cotton squares with cheery stamps and colours-make two identical squares per design.

• 

  Step 6

  Cut out squares of iron-on interfacing and switch the iron on again. Turn the decorated patch over and fuse the iron-on interfacing to it-shiny side down-don`t skip this step or the cotton will puff out of the frame later when it`s been sewed on and that is not very pretty.

  Step 7

  Set the sewing machine to Zig Zag stitch and place the cotton patch to the “frame piece”- sew around it twice

  Step 8

  Now, set the machine back to straight stitch and sew just outside the Zig Zag stitching once.

• 

  Step 9

  Add another row of stitches, just outside that stitching again.

• 

  Step 10

  Continue on and make loads more memory game parts!

  Step 11

  Find a suitable wooden box; paint it in matching cheerful colours, decorate with stamps and vintage paper scraps.Keep your lovely game inside it and get playing!
