About
Memorial Stone for a family pet
Not difficult to do at all. I bought a stepping stone kit and a large stepping stone mold(Hobby Lobby or Michaels, sorry don't remember which). Just follow the directions on the package. I put 24 hours just so that it is completely dry but, use the directions and your best judgement for your project. For the border: (Target)container full of different shape stones in different shades of brown (because Lexy girl was a Chocolate Lab). Used clear ones for her name(these were in the same Target container). Purchased a $3 solar path light (also Target) and took off the stick that goes in the ground. To put in the light I sunk the clear plastic in all the way to the bottom but, made sure the light wasn't in the concrete, that way if the light goes out, you can unscrew that part and just get a new one if you have to. I printed out my favorite picture of her and laminated it and put that in the middle. Once everything is done and you are completely happy with the results, spray with some sort of sealant. Thinking back, you should probably research what kind is best before just grabbing any "sealant" (which is what I did)Voila! I will try and find pictures of it after I took it out of the mold and with the solar light on.
