I set my oven to about 450 degrees and it took ages. But I also used the thick rounded beads. The smell is awful...I recommend doing it during summer with all the doors & windows open. I had my windows/doors cracked open in -15 weather with every candle I own lit!

you are right, it does smell awful and it gave me a headache but they are so adorable and if you leave them flat you can put them on plate holders. love yours.
