About
say meow for carneval or halloween!
My little niece is having her first carneval in kindergarden, but she needed a costume. Auntie to the rescue! These cat ears are so quick and easy to make. And also adorably cute on such a beautiful head :)
Her favorite toy is a cat,and she loved these ears so much, that when my sister put her to bed that night, she cried because she had to take the ears off.

Step 1
First, I want to tell you that you need a smooth headband, without any teeth to keep the hair back.
-
Step 2
For the headband:
Start off with a magic ring(adjustable ring). If you don't know how, there are a lot of great videos about it on youtube.
Make some single crochet stitches in your magic ring. I used 5, but you might need more or less than 5, depending on your yarn and the width of your headband.
Single crochet in every stitch, around and around. Keep going and you should get a sort of tube that you can slide onto the headband, like in the picture. I know the image is really bad, I didn't have my camera ready.
Keep working on the tube until it's long enough to cover the whole headband. I closed the hole in the end with some slip stitches.

Step 3
For the ears:
Make a chain as long as you wish. It depends on how big you want the ears to be. I did 8.
For the first row: single crochet across, and turn
For the rest: Decrease in the first two stitches, single crochet and decrease in the last two stitches.
Repeat this until you have a triangle. Make two ears. (obviously) -
Step 4
Now sew the ears onto the headband with the yarn, put the headband on your head and be adorable :D
