Step 1Heat oven 425/220 degrees
Mix 4 cup flour, sugar, salt & Bicarb together.

Step 2Rub in the butter.
Add the raisins.

Step 3Make a well in the centre, pour in the egg & buttermilk.

Step 4Mix to form a soft sticky dough.
Shape into a circle.
Cut a cross shape into the top of the dough.

Step 5Bake for 40 mins.
