About
Probably the best thing I've done all summer.
I started it using an H pencil (it's really light or I would have taken a picture), and did the outline.
Next, I went over it with a Faber-Castell Pitt series India ink art pen in size XS.
I colored using Prismacolor colored pencils, layering the colors of the skin first, followed by the eyes, hair, octopus, stockings, shorts and finally the shirt.
This takes A LOT of layering and subtle coloring. You can't really see it, but there's lilac and green apple in the nose.
Next I used the water color paints and made the messy watery background. I dried it with a hair dryer because I'm impatient. Then I drew the bubbles with colored pencils again.
Went over important lines and wrote in "into the ocean end it all" with the art pen.
Finally, I used a white gel pen to accent the eyes, highlight the hair, highlight the bubbles, etc.
The whole process took quite a bit of my evening up.
