hi, little confused, so 1st soak hair with clarifying shampoo wash and dry; 2nd apply and soak hair overnight with coconut oil; 3rd wake up reapply coconut oil; 4th mix bleach with developer and apply bleach mix to hair however you want' 5th time process; 6th rinse bleach out with shampoo; ta-da
Is this how you do it?
what do you mean when you say mix the hair bleach with a developer? and what brand of hair bleach did you use and where can i find that? i love the statement of your bright hair! so pretty! im thinking of just dying mine halfway down so if i mess up i can just get a short haircut
Thanks everyone!
Coconut oil will also fade color.
I started off with a mix of Loreal's hi lift Magenta/Red with a 30 vol developer. Along with orange/yellow bits underneath that I later bleach bathed out & covered with RAW's ruby red. A good veggie dube for Loreal! I would put drops of that dye into my conditioner and let it soak in my hair for 10+ minutes each shower. I avoided shampoo at the time which probably contributed to staining. I went through a two or three period of using shampoo, crushing up vitamin c & oil ONLY brighten the color than an additional couple of months to slowly strip it out with bleach. Any products containing sulfates I wouldn't use since it would easily strip color out.
Great advice - and I think the pictures of your beautiful, long and vibrant hair are obviously a testament to how well this works!
No-poo means no shampoo... right? ;)
What hair color dye did you use that stayed for 6 months?! Did the purple stay that long too?
Was it because of the coconut oil, or did u do something else?
lol Im really curious b/c i dye my hair bright colors too, and it NEVER stays in for more then a week or 2.
I went to a stylist she tried a few strands of my hair and tried to go white it fell apart in my hands, but this seems plausible and I don't want to give up so I am so gonna try this next paycheck! BTW you look FABULOUS
Ahh...you are so gorgeous! Also, I've been wanting to bleach my hair for a long time, but haven't been able to because of the texture..I can't wait to try this.
