About
Needle Felted Flower Pin
This is my first felted flower attempt and I am happy with my outcome. It is so much fun and so easy that I thought everyone might want to try it.

Step 1
Step 1 - gather 5 bunches of pink wool roving for your outer flower petals, measuring 6" long. You will also want to gather 4 more bunches of pink wool roving slightly smaller than 6", this is for your smaller petals.
Lay on a flat surface and fold in half, should look like this when your done.

Step 5
Step 5 - After you have shaped and needle felted all of your petals you are now ready to put it together. I placed the larger petals on the outside with the smaller petals on the inside towards the center. Place your flower on top of your felting mat and begin needle felting these together until the fibers are all woven together. I fliped this over and needle felted from the back as well.

Step 10
Step 10 - Place your pin on the back of your flower with glue or sew it on, however its always better to sew it on, as it will never fall off that way.
What I used was a 1" steel pin back that was sewn onto a piece of pink felt, and I glued this on to the back of my flower. However for this size pin you could use a larger pin back, just make sure you always reinforce it.

Step 12
Step 12 - Congratulations your finished and ready to wear this very classy rose broche.
My pin is pictured with a tag that I made out of cardstock for selling purposes. If you are gift giving, a background with some card stock adds a little extra charm to your project.
