Yes! I remember eating and drinking at the party I went to, also I did it with moderation, and was wearing dentures glue. That helped keep them on place all night.
They really did come out very nicely :3 I've been wanting to do this for like 4 years now xD But do you really have to have a dremel? Could you just use a nail filer? I'm not sure if anyone has tried it with that or not. If I make a pair... I'll be sure to post a pic :3 Hopefully I can get what I need tonight ^^
brilliant.. what if you don't have a Dremel? could you just go to town with a nail file? also comparatively is this more cost effective or just more custom?
Not to answer for Cherrie, but if you use silicone the dentists use "Denture Elasticon", or at least theyve been seeing how well it works...im not sure the difference between that and normal silicon mlods though, i would think if it dries quickly, with the moisture of your mouth not affecting it and its not toxic it should be alright. i know silicon molds are food safe, but i would look up the differences just in case.
ok i have a few questions.
first i would like to say great tutorial
1. did u use clear or white accrylic if u used clear how did u get them the color of your teeth.
2. would a silicone mold work to create the cast? i watched the vid and it seems it would i just wanted the opinion of someone who has acctually done it
thanks alot for posting this i have bought the scarecrow fangs before but i have reletively small teeth so even the small fangs from them looked Giant in my mouth.
i loved this tutorial and this is actually how they do make fake teeth at the dentist. i have two fake teeth because of an accident i was in and this is pretty much exactly how they are made...except there is a "plate" that is almost like a retainer made of resin that keeps them in place. all the supplies are ones dentist would use, and looking up their prices on ebay everything is super cheap. i found alginate for like 6 bucks, the nail kit is only a few bucks depending one where you get it and even the molds were only 4 bucks for a few of them...just be careful, if you have braces, because it could ruin them...the dentist said i needed braces when i got my fake teeth, but i couldnt have them because of them, maybe using the mold stuff would harm them, or the braces would just be in the way...but definately ask the dentist first. thanks so much for this tut it was really interesting to see someone make fake teeth in a professional way.
hey, i was wondering if you could do this somehow without a mold? because i don't have the molding stuff what so ever and still really wanna make these. maybe you could put them on your tooth and the take it off before it dries?

wow so cool!
what happens if you wear permanent braces though? I used to have traintracks on the front of my teeth, now I have subtle, small wire glued to the back of my teeth to keep them straight. They have come off before when eating Wotsits and bread, I would be worried about pulling something that hardens off of them.
You can actually find some good quality fangs and just use denture cream if you want XD
But I like this and it's great if you want something customized like this.
Also, like someone else mentioned: no, acrylic will not harm you or your teeth since it's non toxic and using denture cream will create a barrier between the acrylic and your actual tooth/teeth. Anyway, some dentists actually use acrylic when it comes to dentures so there's really nothing to worry about.
i love them

Are they safe for everyday wear?

Clear acrylic is the same thing, you use on your nails. How many people, put there nails in there mouth, its the same thing.
