What You'll Need (I needed an entire section for this. LOL)

-A paint brush or paint brushes if you will be using more than one size.
-A cup with water to clean the brushes as needed.
-A paper towel or two for dabbing the water on.
     -Glue of your choice.
-Plastic googly eyes (because we, who cannot draw well ain't got time to paint our own eyeballs. Plus, it looks cool).
-Water color paint or any paint you want to use.
-Your canvas of choice (I like to use a 4 inch by 4 inch canvas, purchased in a pack of 14 on Amazon. A mini canvas keeps your limited artistic skills condensed to one little scare of space and you end up looking like an amazing artist. Don't worry, I got your back).

  • Step 2

Cover your space as needed to keep paint from getting all over and grab that canvas.

    Step 3

Grab your googly eyes (get them from Michael's or any other craft store in your area) and glue on three or how ever many eyes you want your monster to have. You obviously can glue your eyes on after you paint your monster and let it dry. I just find it more fun to glue them on first because you are then forced to use your imagination and work around them to create a really cool looking monster.....or at least in my head that makes sense. LOL.

    Step 4

Let the painting begin! Start with a small brush to get some paint around those googly eyes, nice and neat and from there, you can go nuts. Decide what shape you want him or her to be. Switch up the colors every few seconds for a cool rainbow monster. Does he or she have spikes or horns? Does he or she have a tail? How many arms? None of it has to be perfect. Why? Because what monster is (that includes you, ya monster)?

Here's the first monster I painted before the one above a while back. Hold the canvas vertical to get the drippy effect.

Here's another example of gluing something awesome to a canvas and painting around it.

Well, that concludes this tutorial! I hope you all enjoy this! Have fun!
