Quick and easy drying rack
I have my first real garden this year and I wanted somewhere to dry my herbs. So I came up with this the other night using things I could find around my house.

  • How to make a drying rack. Herb Drying Rack - Step 1
    Step 1

First I cut an egg carton in half leaving a few of the little flaps for hanging up the rack.

I used the top of the carton and cut a piece of fabric a few inches longer than it. (You could also paint or decoupage it.) Then I glued the fabric on and wrapped it around to the back. I cut the fabric at each corner so it wrapped around smoothly.

I used paper clips to hold the fabric on while the glue dried.

Then I screwed these looped screws in. I'm not sure what they are called, but they came with a picture hanging kit. Nails or screws would work fine. I glued them in the back and let it dry.

Then I nailed it on a wall through the little flaps and hung the herbs up! I usually use clear nylon thread to hang them, but you can use just about anything.
