Bring a little cheer and love to your outfit with this happy scarf
Isn't this just the cheeriest scarf you ever did see? I'm in love with the way this scarf it turned out, it is just as happy as I imagined it to be. It's a pretty flexible project too, feel free to change out the happy hearts for shinning stars or pretty roses.

  • How to make a knit scarf / crochet scarf. Happy Heart And Tassel Scarf - Step 1
    Step 1

To make this happy little scarf I used a 15 US sized needle and a super bulky yarn, the big needles and big yarn help make this a quick knit. I cast on 15 stitches and used the garter stitch for the whole scarf. I made mine long enough to wrap around my neck, but just stop whenever you feel it's gotten long enough.

  • Step 2

It's time to add the tassels, you'll need six tassels for each end. I decided to use a rainbow of colors to make it extra cheery, so pick out an assortment of embroidery thread. I used my fingers to measure the tassel length. My tassels are three fingers long. So wrap the embroidery thread around three fingers about 20 times. Then tie one top and cut the bottom.

  • Step 3

Line the 6 tassels along the edge and use white thread to stitch the tassels to the edge of the scarf.

    Step 4

The final touch are the big heart pockets. Cut out two big red hearts from red felt and stitched them on using a running stitch. Try to only stitch into the top layer of the yarn of the scarf. To make them pockets don't stitch the top of the hearts.
