A touch of lime, a hint of green :
Confluent wonders seldom seen.
Sharing a love of furry friends
And Happily-Ever-After ends,
How sweetly music & makeup blend!
Lime Crime is proud to present our collaboration with The Green Children! We've had our eye on the electropop duo for a while -- their nature-loving ways and positive message are akin to our own and very inspirational. When Milla and Marlow were in NY to promote the release of the new album, Encounter, we got together in Central Park for a magical shoot! Doe Deere did Milla's makeup -- you guessed it -- in vibrant greens.
Products used: Eyeshadow Helper; Mischief Managed, Lime Criminal, Nymph & Empress magic dusts; peach lip gloss; false lashes.

Step 1
EYES
We prepped Milla's eyelids with Eyeshadow Helper to ensure long-lasting results (after all, when you perform on stage it's a necessity) and applied Mischief Managed eyeshadow to the top lids and just on the outer corners on the bottom. Pull the color out, towards the temples, for a more dramatic look! A lighter green, Lime Criminal, was blended into the darker green and all the way up to the brow. Accentuate inner corners with Nymph -- apply with a small brush or fingertips. This color also looks magical as a highlighter for the bridge of your nose and cupid's bow.
Apply 2 coats of mascara to top and bottom lashes. Drag dark gray or brown pencil close to the lash line, filling in all the blank spots in between. Stick on false lashes for added effect -- we went for the "halves" which focus only on outer corners. This look comes to life when you fill the waterline with a touch of purple. If you have a purple pencil, it's the way to go but if you don't, here's a trick. Use white pencil and pat some purple eyeshadow, like Empress, on top. You'll love the result!
Milla's eyebrows are naturally medium to light blonde, so we darkened them with espresso-brown brow shadow.

Step 2
FACE
Keep your face fresh and peachy with a touch of bronzer under the cheekbones and warm-toned blush.

Step 3
LIPS
Milla has naturally pigmented lips so we used a sheer, peach colored gloss on her lips. If your lips are naturally pale, go for a redder (but still sheer) shade. You can achieve this effect by dabbing your favorite red lipstick (ours is Retrofuturist) onto the center of the lips and topping it off with clear gloss or balm. Voila!
