• 

  Step 1

  Gather Materials and plug in your glue gun.

• 

  Step 2

  Measure pleated ribbon around your head and cut accordingly.

• 

  Step 3

  Flip over the crest applique so that it is face down. The side that is pointing up should be shiny!

  Step 4

  Glue one side of ribbon onto the back of applique as shown. Make sure that the shiny part of the ribbon will face out.

• 

  Step 5

  Glue down the other end of your ribbon piece as shown.

• 

  Step 6

  Cut a piece of fabric that will cover the ribbon on back of the applique

• 

  Step 7

  Glue the fabric piece onto the applique.

• 

  Step 8

  Cut the corners of the fabric so it doesn't show through the other side.

• 

  Step 9

  The headband won't fit you yet, but no worries...we're almost there! Make a cut in the ribbon as shown. We cut the area that will go under our hair, this way the stretch piece is hidden.

  Step 10

  Either cut a 2" piece of stretch ribbon (we did) or use a hair tie for this step. Glue or stitch the elastic or stretch ribbon onto the ends of the red pleated ribbon.

  Step 11

  And Voila!! DIY Chic!
