Step 1Fill a tall glass and cocktail shaker with ice and pour in the gin. Cut a twist of lemon peel and place to one side.

Step 2Add the vermouth, simple syrup and squeeze in the juice from the lemon.

Step 3Strain the cocktail into your glass.

Step 4Top with soda water and serve with a lemon swirl.
