• 

  Step 1

  For this project you need:
  A lei
  Glue/a glue gun
  Felt(any color)
  A pencil
  Buttons/rhinestones (Optional)
  Scissors
  A spool of thread or another small circle

• 

  Step 2

  Rip apart your lei and cut off any plastic attached to the flowers, if necessary. Picture shows the unwanted plastic bit.

  Step 3

  Fold your Felt in half and draw a small circle (About 1 inch, depending on the size of your flowers) slightly hanging off of the fold and cut it out, so that you have an 8-shaped piece of felt.

• Step 4

  Gather your flowers. I was making my sister a pink one, but you're welcome to mix or match the colors. Get crazy!

  Step 5

  Keep on adding flowers! Add some hot glue each time you add a flower, and be careful not to burn yourself! Build up your flowers to your desired thickness. I like mine fluffy and thick.

  Tip: if your lei had two different sizes of flowers, add the smallest flowers last to give it more dimension!

  Step 6

  If desired, dab some hot glue in the center of your new flower and add your rhinestone/button.

  **Ugh, excuse my gross chipped nail polish.**

• 

  Step 7

  Now to attach the hair clip.

  Flip your flower over and glue your hair clip down on the circle. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR HAIR CLIP IS OPEN!

  Step 8

  Now put the remaining circle inside of the open hair clip and glue the circle completely shut.

• 

  Step 9

  And you're done!!!
