thanks for the idea debbie, this was fun to make. had to google up how to blanket stitch and a how-to-blanket-stitch youtube vid popped up. how convenient. although i didn't quite get how to END the stitch so i was left with that wee bit of thread, which found its purpose in keepin the case closed (so no buttons or velcro or zippers needed).
