mm... cleanliness.
Cotton, so they absorb like magic. They work like store-bought cleaning pads, but these are re-usable and go straight into the wash. When I make mine, I make them in sets of 7 or 14.

    CH 4. slipstitch onto the 1st ch st.
    CH 2. 12dc into the hole. slst.
    CH 2. 2 dc in each dc. slst.
    Finish off.

Way to be green! I love eco-friendly stuff and am definitely going to make a bunch of these! Also - they'd be a great gift idea - make a bunch of them to include with a bottle of home-made skin toner. Thanks so much for posting!

I do something similar to this with old t-shirts: cut into 'yarn' and crochet scrubby pads to use like the ... what do you call them... the netted plastic bath lather things. Anyway, reused, reusable, biodegradable and last longer!
