A ragdoll, made from recycled fabrics.
Remember the tie-dye shirt from a one piece outfit, I posted a while back? This dolly is made from the legs of that outfit! The dress is one leg(turned upside down), and the doll legs are made from the other leg, split in half. The feet, arms, torso, and head are all made of scraps from a pair of ugly khaki shorts my mom ruined with her bad laundry skills. I did the traditional wig, sewing a 'part' down the middle, then sewed the sides to the area above where she'd have ears, if she did. I sewed 4 colored buttons on each side, in rainbow order, to look like barrettes. Then I fishtail braided the pigtails. I painted her face on with acrylic fabric paints, she has aqua-green eyes. Her dress is also removable. My daughter named her Emily, after my friend who gave us the original tie-dyed outfit she's made from.
