Cotton-Nylon Dish Scrubby
This eco friendly scrubby was designed by me to avoid using store bought sponges. The nylon side works well for stuck on food. Use the cotton side to wash glasses, cups, etc...It is strong. To care for your crochet sponge, machine wash and air dry.

    Step 1

The nylon scrubby was purchased at a Dollar General. You get about 8 for a $1.00. Use a crochet hook size H (5mm) to crochet the cozy which will house the scrubby. Follow this pattern: HDC stands for half double crochet.

    Begin by making a loop
    Round 1 – Ch 2, 9 hdc inside the loop – Do not join – 10 hdc
    Round 2 – 2 hdc in each space – 20 hdc
    Round 3 – 7 – 1 hdc in each space – 20 hdc
Slip store bought scrubby inside the cozy. Continue working around and join cozy to the scrubby by using slip stitches. Make a knot on the last slip stitch made and hide tail inside the scrubby.
