There's a video on Threadbanger about this type of rustic loom that I was very inspired by, but I wanted to make it much easier. So I did.

If you want your piece to be loosely weaved, don't push up tightly when you move on to the next row. If you do want a tight weave, however, everytime you weave a new row push up to make sure there isn't any space between your rows.

Step 1
Take an even number of screws, nails or push pins, depending on how wide you want your piece to be, and insert them into your wall, however far apart you like. I don't like measuring, but you can if you wish.
Then, determine how long you want your piece, and put a same number of pins or whatever at that end, so you have two rows of pins/screws/nails, whatever.
Step 2
Then, take your yarn and tie a slip knot, sliding it onto the first pin at the top. then, keeping the yarn taut, wind it in a sort of zig zag pattern...down to the first pin on the bottom, up to the second pin on top, down to the second pin on bottom, ect...and tie off securely when you get to the last pin

KEEP IT VERY TIGHT!
Step 3
Take a scrap piece of fabric and loosely weave it into the top using a basic over under, over under weave two times to make sure it won't fall out.

This is a buffer piece that will help make sure that you will have room to take the piece off the loom once you are finished. It will not be in the actual piece. Just leave the ends loose.
Step 4
Take your scraps and cut them into about 1/2 inch pieces and fold over the end about and inch and cut a little slit.
Then, take one scrap and put it through the slit of another, and then take the end you just put in and put it through the slit at the end of that piece of fabric and pull..and then you'll have a connected piece of fabric.
Use this to put your fabric into the loom.

Do that until you have one ten foot piece for this belt.
Step 5
Then tie one end to the first string and start weaving your fabric over one string and under the next over and over and over...
until you get to the desired length you want.
Step 6
Then, tie off the end to the last string securely and cut off any excess, tucking it into the weave.

Then cut off the strings next to the push pin and tie them in a square knot, cutting off excess string if you wish.

Do this one at a time, or else it might just fall apart.
