i want to dye my hair with purple kool-aid. my hair is bleached, and i was wondering, can anyone tell me (message please!) if i should try and take the yellow out of my hair first? will the yellow mess with the purple coloring? or will it be fine to leave the yellow in?
i do this but i die it difernt...........i boil water then add the koolade then why the water is still vary hot put your the part of hair u want to die in it and keep in the hot koolade water for about 30 min , take your hair out of the water and rinse in clean cold water, then blow dry if u want the color darker just put back in the hot water tell dark as u want it
Ok, I don't mean to sound like an absolute loser but we don't have Kool Aid in Australia as far as I know so can I just ask what it is? I thought it was a soft drink, but everyone is talking about packets of it.
Thanks!!!
How long does it last? Is it a one time thing or is it like REAL hair-die?
Lets say I did it (my hairs a dark brown) and put blue KoolAid in. When I wash my hair will it be normal or still have the blue in it?

I think I'll dye my bangs (fringe) rainbow or green. I like rainbow but green is my soccer team color. Do they even make green Kool-aid? I know they have strawberry-kiwi, but I can't remember if that's green or red . . .
I have really dark brown hair that almost look black and i did this and it came out a pretty red color that you can see. Its not a tint its like really red. Yay!!!!!!
btw I don't have bleached hair.
This works great! i used to always dye my hair and dread falls(like the ones in my pic) with kool aid and it always worked perfectly! Came out super bright!
You can also do it by mixing the kool aid with water and boiling it, while it's still hot you put it on you hair and keep on pouring it on your hair for like 10 minutes. Then you wash it.
I did it when I was 11 and I had to cut my hair because it was red for like three months and in school they wouldn't let me have read hair. But the dye was down to my shoulders so i just cut it.
But I think this technique is better! You don't need to worry about burning you scalp with the hot kool aid
I put a streak of blue in the front of my by wrapping the section in saran wrap overnight. It was really bright for awhile, and I have dark blonde unbleached hair. I did this like months ago and you can still kinda see it. It works really well.
cause i want to try it but if it goes wrong or it is te wrong colour i want to know how long!!
Thanks!!!

I find this kind of odd. Why use Kool Aid if there's tons of neatly coloured dyes out there (that are actually meant to go in your hair)?
