Cute heat saver!
I use these to keep drafts from windows and doors making room warmer in winter and keeping AC in in the summer!! (sorry some photos are blurred had to use cell phone as I have no working camera.)

  • Step 1

    With needles cast on 30 sts. Work knitting in the round for 25 to 30 rows (or desired head length.) Decrease to 20 sts.(knit 2 togeather evenly spaced around).

    Keep knitting in the round until piece measures the length of window or door opening. ( changing yarn colors as needed or wanted).

    Knit two togeather around until there are 5 sts (or so you dont need to be percise here). cut yarn leaving a 10 inch tail, with yarn needle weave end through stitches removing them from knitting needle. Cinch up closing end. weave tail through a few times and tie off on inside. From open end fill.

    Do your filling in sections. Taking a hand full of fiber fill at a time.

    When starting the filling you may need a chop stick to push filling to end.

    Step 6

    After filled take yarn and needle and weave through end to cinch and close. Make eyes nose and mouth using yarn. ( wanted to put on wiggle eyes but had no glue). Make them with their own personality !!!

    Put them in window, or across bottom of door to keep heat out in summer and in in winter. :)
