Wearable Music Project
Today, I am sharing a project I am really excited about. Several months ago, I posted a DIY Woodburning Frame tutorial, using the lyrics of a song called “I wish” by a contemporary musician Gina Cimmelli. Somehow, she came across this project and really loved it. Since I love Gina’s music and her enthusiastic respond excited me, I promised to create a “lyrics project” just for her. I immediately started thinking of different ideas- and eventually settled on designing a tote bag. I picked out this navy-flavored bag, large enough to fit books and music notes, and embellished it with some fabric markers and fabric paint. Once I picked my materials, I had to decide which song to use. Honestly, it was a toss between “Don’t be mad” and “Call Mama”, but I ended up choosing “Don’t be mad” (I think that one is most well known). I tested a few fonts, but I quickly realized that copying a font is quite a challenge. So I threw in a little of my style, too.
