Cute Summer Dress

to make this dress i used a peice of material that i found in the cheap box for 4 dollars at a fabric store. I measured it to fit around me allowing a little bit more for seems and gathering. I also measured a peice of elastic to fit around me. then while streching the elastic out to the length of the material i sewed the elastic around the top of the material. then sew up the side. then i cut the singlet in half and sewed the material to the singlet. You could sew the elastic and the material to the singlet all at once but i just found it easier sewing the elastic to the material first. then to finish it off i used the leftover singlet material to tie two cute bows on each strap.
