My personal twist to a traditional bulletin board
My second project!
I wanted a nice bulletin/Inspiration board but I wanted something better than all those ugly plain brown cork boards that seem to be the only thing stores sell, and if i did come across a unique, colorful board, it was ridiculously expensive. So this is what i came up with. I really like the way it turned out and its so easy to adapt to any room but changing the fabric and frame, speaking of the frame, i love the sophisticated edge it adds. I hope you all enjoy as much as I did!

  • Step 1

I'm so sorry for not having pics! This was done ages ago and I wasn't planning on putting it up here.
So anyways, start by gathering your materials:
    Styrofoam
    Fabric
    Picture Frame
    Ribbon/Embroidery Thread
    Push Pins
    Glue Gun

  • Step 2

ok, start by cutting your Styrofoam and Fabric to size
Cut the Styrofoam to fit in the frame and cut the fabric so that it comfortably wraps around one side of the Styrofoam, then cover one side the Styrofoam in fabric and glue or staple the excess fabric down in the back.

  • Step 3

Once your piece of Styrofoam is covered with fabric on one side, it's time to add the ribbon/thread. Cut peices of ribbon/thread and arrange them in a criss cross pattern by first laying down all the ribbon/thread for one direction and then the next. Glue the ends to the Styrofoam.

  • Step 4

Next, add a push pin at every point where both directions of ribbon/thread meet

  • Step 5

Add glue to the Border of the Styrofoam and press it to the frame to attach it

  • Step 6

Optional: For a little extra touch, glue decorative ribbon to the side of the frame

and viola! you're done! now just add in all your pictures, cutouts, notes etc

    Hope you all enjoyed!
