this is really amazing! it sure looks easy to make but i think i'll have a hard time since i'm new to sewing... more practice for me.. but thanks to this, i just got inspired.
I made one of these a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! Super easy, super fun. Even running my finger through the sewing machine (blast that zipper foot!) couldn't dampen the excitement that came from making my first corset. I now have three or four more planned as soon as I can get enough plastic amassed. Thanks so much for this wonderful tutorial.
just a quick question sewing the seams are they sewed like on the side? or flat with zig zag stitch? sorry if i confused you i cant explain it properly
So, each side, left and right, have 4 sections and it laces up both in the back and in the front?
So creative. =) I've been trying to think of alternatives for commercial boning since it can't be found in the country where I currently reside. I was thinking of trying to cut up panels that fell off of my friend's blinds, and when I asked if a boning substitute could be made [after having heard that someone used hollow rubber wire covering] everyone just told me to get boning online.
I loved this tute on craftster.org and made one! You are amazing and I love that you share!!!I am loving CO&K! everyone is so wonderful and it's much better organized in my opinion. It's not as much chat and much more stuff! Hope you are doing well! katie
i just made a different one to a different pattern with commercial boning after months of searching lol. turned out ok,a full corset- but i love your idea for boning! i hate throwing away those plastic detergent jugs but could never think of a way to reuse them...i can't wait to start this the size and shape looks great. hand wash i am guessing?? thanks, i will post a picture when i am finished- actually i am making this FOr a dr sketchys! right here in nashville tn
I dont understand what a xiphoid is?
Really excited!

I'll try this.
But I don't have enough confidence to make one..
It seems pretty tough. ><
(For my sewing skill level at least)
Maybe someday. :3
