Cereal Box to Homework/Magazine/book organizer!
I DO ALL MY STEP BY STEPS WERE EVERY LITTLE THING IS SHOWN.
If you don't get something please let me know :D!

My mom did this with our cereal boxes when we were younger, I am in College now, and in my own apartment, and my papers are all over the place! Now I make sure I buy cereal so I can make my own little organization when I am done with them!
I wanted to share this project with everybody, I hope this also helps out you moms out there that have four children like my mother did :)

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 1
    Step 1

You need an empty cereal box, the width of the face of the cereal box will determine the size of papers/books/folders/magazines that'll be able to put it it.

I am using my empty life cereal :)

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 2
    Step 2

You now need to grab a marker/pen/or pencil and free hand the cut you want into the box to ONE side of the cereal box.

The cut I am putting into the box, allows support on part of the books but you can still see the other side :)

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 3
    Step 3

Mine looked like this, DO NOT draw all the way to the top. Cut it off before you get to the crease of the flaps.

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 4
    Step 4

Now start cutting on the line.
Shank the box to start cutting, the line doesn't need to be perfect, so don't stress if its raggedy looking.

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 5
    Step 5

Once you cut on the line, cut the upper part of the face off.

NOW grab your pencil/marker/pen and keep the marker straight and line it up against the now cut face.

    Trace it.

(Picture is at an angle so you can see the marking)

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 6
    Step 6

Now cut the sides off that match the lined sides and follow the line.

It should look like this if you were following my pattern.
    <-----

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 7
    Step 7

    Grab a glue stick!

To one side at a time cover it with glue.

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 8
    Step 8

Now this is the fun part!!!!

Grab wrapping paper, extra scrapbook paper, newspaper funnies, or a fun magazine page.
(I only have a random magazine, but I like wrapping paper best!)
Cut it or rip it out and paste it on the cardboard box.

IF YOU HAVE NEWSPAPER OR WRAPPING PAPER---->

Make sure to the glue on both sides and stand up your box. Wrap the wrapping paper or newspaper on both sides! It looks much more neater! (Unless you have a shortage of wrapping paper)

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 9
    Step 9

Now flip the box over so you can see the backside of the page you glued, and cut about half an inch away from the box.
CUTTING DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PERFECT

    FOR NEWSPAPER AND WRAPPING PAPER-->
Your box is standing but you can still cut, lines don't need to be perfect.

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 11
    Step 10

Now folding the edges to the inside! Grab your tape!

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 12
    Step 11

Now tape the folded part of the covering material to the inside of the of the box!

I didn't cut mine short, so you would be able to see easily what I taped :)

  • How to make a box. Cereal Is Organized! - Step 12
    Step 12

Now after doing this to both sides! And the front!
Stand up your box and put your messy papers inside!

or in my case my history books :)
