Ceramic Monarch Butterfly

A ceramic creation symbolic of my youth.
I have lived in northern Minnesota almost my entire life. my mom and I have a ritual of hatching monarch butterflies by collecting the caterpillars, grabbing some milkweed and pitting them in a container with holes in it. once they would turn into cacoons, we would hang them up high until they hatch, then we would set them free when their wings were dry.
