About
Based on Cassette Shirt =) by Tara Gypsy Apples
hey y'all,
so, i wanted to make a tee with cassette prints for a friends birthday. and i decided to practice on an tee for me. that turned out to be a good idea, because even though i practiced on a loose piece of fabric first, i sucked at making the prints on the actual tee...the prints just didn't turn out well-at all. so i decided to go over parts of the prints with different coloured paint to make t more clear those were cassette prints. it looked kinda lame. then my mum came home and saved the tee: she suggested i'd make the cassetes into these little cute cassette faces, and they turned out really nice! i did have to paint over the prints a couple of times, because they weren't very visible, and i'm not so good at painting so the faces had to be done over a few times to make them look nice. this project was practically fee, because my mum had the paint(acryl wall paint, mostly), i bought the tee for less than 3 euros(um...euros are currently worth more than dollars, so in dollars its like...4 and a half dollars i think) and my father had the cassettes. i used 3 cassetes for the 3 colours. the tee for my friend is totally different, its not with faces and has little footprints all over it. maybe i can get her to send me a picture, but i dont have one right now. btw, yes, thats me on that picture. but you cant see my face because i made it in a mirror. if the english is bad, sorry-i'm from holland (the netherlands)so english is my second language.
