About
make a quick and easy knitting project to add some comfort to your home office space
Made in simple garter stitch and stuffed with a duvet, this can be made very quickly - why not make every in different colours and sizes to create a temptingly comfy seating area?
I choose to use circular needles for larger scale work – they’re less heavy to use, and less bulky to carry with you.

Step 1
Tension
Not criticalKnit your pouffe with your yarn trebled ie knit three balls/strands of wool together.
-
Step 2
Cut off 3m of yarn and put to one side for fnishing your work.
Cast on 34 sts. -
Step 3
Work in garter stitch (k every row) until
you have a rectangle twice as long as it is wide. -
Step 4
Cast off loosely. Sew the two short ends (cast on and cast off ) of your knitting together (using a large wool needle or a crochet hook) to create a knitted tube.
-
Step 5
Take a 1m length of yarn and using a wool needle or crochet hook, thread it through every third rib of stitching along one open end of your tube of knitting (this is, in effect, the end of every sixth row).
-
Step 6
Pull the length of yarn slightly to start gathering the top of your work, and run the yarn through the same stitches again. Now pull the yarn as tightly as you can to completely close one end of your pouffe. Tie the yarn off securely with a knot or a few tight stitches.
-
Step 7
Stuff your pouffe with a single duvet. Now close your pouffe exactly as you did with the other end.
