12 Flowers Assembled, Five Petals Each Flower Assembled + Decor = A Kusudama Ball
A Kusudama Flower, (instruction are easily found on the web), is created from five folded squares, glued together carefully. 12 completed flowers are then carefully glued together to form a Kusudama Ball, similar to what you see in the photo above. Practice, practice, practice creating your flowers using recycled paper from magazines. Hint: cut your squares exactly the same, use a good transparent glue, use paper clips to help hold each unit together. Add beads to each flower, stamens, other decor. This is an ancient Japanese-inspired craft with a rich and exciting history. Google it to learn more.
