Simple, adorable hearts made of just about anything! ♥
This is a pretty easy heart project to make. I found out how to make them off of a Youtube video after a night of sheer frustration. I was unable to make origami hearts for Valentine's Day and did not have the time to buy origami paper, (or the patience to learn how!). After trying and trying and searching and searching I found a fast and simple tutorial on how to make these little guys! They are super quick, and you can make them from just about any paper. I made mine out of old magazines, but any foldable paper will do.

Please excuse the occasional blurry picture, these were taken rather late. XP

You Will Need

  • How to fold an origami shape. 3 D Paper Hearts - Step 1
    Step 1

Cut a strip of paper. It can pretty much any width (although the smaller they are, the more difficult the final steps will be) but should be at least 6 inches long. Place the side you would like your heart to look like face down.

Take the end of the strip and fold it once horizontally.

Now use your thumbs (fingernails can be quite helpful!) and squish the top right down the middle between the corners.

    Step 11

You should end up with this rather pointy-looking heart shape.

Use your handy-dandy scissors to round out those points and make a less dangerous looking heart. (Or don't, whichever you prefer! ^_^)

And there you have it! Adorable 3D hearts you can do just about anything with! Stuff them in a jar, hang them from your ceiling, make jewelery, glue them to a card, give them to your sweetheart or throw them at strangers! Whatever you do have fun and please share yours! :)

Thank you for such kind comments!

I find that these are a little easier to make than the lucky stars, but I bet they'd look cute together. Happy
