I get a lot of ideas from Pinterest and I think that it's great there is a place like that. When uploading Pinterest-inspired projects, I always try to credit the person the link leads me to or at least show that it wasn't my idea ('I got this from Pinterest'). I don't think there is a problem with people pinning other people's projects - because there's linking settings. I mean, most of the time you need to follow the link to get the how-to. But sometimes people make a collage of steps as a whole and that gets stolen a lot.
Nevertheless, I don't mind having projects from Pinterest on here since, as already mentioned, oftentimes people don't reinvent the wheel anyway and it doesn't matter.

English & Arts
North America! I'm from Germany and kinda grew up with MTV shows in English directly from the US. I'm so curious, I'd like to go there some day.
Btw, here's their lovely video:

I agree with you, Stacy! Before the new layout (which I personally like) came up, I felt there were more active people, but I'm particularly talking about the activity in favourites and comments. It just felt there were fewer of them after the layout changed. But I also think that there are many people out there anonymously looking for inspiration around here but just don't participate. I can understand this because I did the same for 2 years before I joined.
I'm studying English and American Studies and I don't know what my occupation will be, but I know that I love the English language ... maybe I'll just end up as an old grumpy university lecturer
What exactly do you mean?
Of course we have greater issues, but that's a topic always worth talking about. Coincidentally, I just held a presentation + following group discussion in university about that topic plus same sex adoption. Most of us (I'm from Germany) were absolutely in favor of gay marriage & same sex child adoption. only 2-3 people were against it, bringing up reasons like 'It's not natural...' (ridiculous, in my opinion!). We also found lots of shocking material for our presentation! It was just disgusting, like a video from a man of an higher rank (not too high really, can't rememer in detail) who went on how it was not natural to be gay and if - ya'll got your popcorn?? - they would legalize gay marriage this would lead to people wanting to MARRY ANIMALS! Can you believe that?!
I mean, like, people that think THAT wicked WAY are bound to having made love to some sheep already... Jesus Christ!
em.hancy: It is allowed for a gay couple to adopt a child, but only in a few countries and states, in the US it's basically like the East and West Coast you have to imagine. When we were looking up Australia in our statistical part we actually didn't find material neither on marriage nor on adoption... In Germany, it's not legal yet. There are also some wicked laws in the US that allow a gay couple to adopt a child - but only if they're married. Which, especially in these states, isn't legalized yet. Dumb world..
Aaawww lucky you
Hi, Crafterella said there will be a new notification thing coming up which should be awesome. But I'd also like to now when.... I miss it too :/
Hey, good idea!
My translated craft blog is
almostaliceblog.blogspot.com
Come and visit!
What I just noticed is, when I opened my projects via the pop down menu under profile, I can see all my projects from the beginning but I'm not able to click on them, they won't open. I have to go directly to my profile page and choose "See all projects" if I want to really open one.
Just a tiny thing. Nothing disturbing really.
Oh, and I hope it was understandable :/
I don't get along with new designs so easily, but this one I love! I also very much like the new Crafty Superstar page, and of course the Featured Member thing! Congratulations on making such a nice new design my thumbs are up!
