Biscuits & gravy is a very southern breakfast thing. It would be the "main" dish at breakfast (like bacon & eggs), whereas biscuits with butter, jelly, honey, etc would be a "side dish," not that you would have them for breakfast on the same day. or you might.

Nail polish is the strangest paint to work with! It was my medium of choice in the 6th grade, but as my collection gummed up and ran out, I stopped doing it so much. It kind of never really truly dries, you can always make impressions in it. I remember covering the back of a sketch book Pollack style with crappy polish. It had a big gooey red heart and a few of the shaker beads that came out of the bottles stuck in it! I also painted an art nouveau/peter max woman's profile on an Altoid's tin with nail polish once and used a different color for each section of her psychedelic wavy hair. Hours of tweenage boredom...

When my sheets of notes tear where they have been hole-punched, I tape them up and hole punch them again, and I am left with translucent, non-sticky tape confetti! It's very delicate and something else I don't know where I would use it (behind a clear window/pocket on a card or journal page?) but I thought it was cool.

I was having a conversation with my mom a while ago, and I asked if "they" have boy scouts in England, and she said, "I think they pretty much have everything we do." Not Kool-Aid though. I've always wanted to play with it as a dye. You're not missing anything too tasty. Hawaiian Punch is much better, but not as portable...

As for strangeness, I've been coating a couple of candy hearts with nail polish for a few days now. They will become earrings, decorations on a card, something.

And I collect interesting things I find on the ground to make something out of. I found this strange rubber gauge of some sort that looks like a goddess's headdress and a piece of metal that looks like Hathor's horns! I don't know what I will put these things on yet, but I know what they will be when they take shape.

i love those! I only had two and a kitchen set, but I bought part of the vanity set off ebay in some sad attempt to reclaim my childhood.
