Hey Miranda! I tried to answer your question about the Dino Hat as best I could. I figured I'd post it here too, just in case you didn't check back on the projects page.
I would suggest printing it all out, putting the pattern together and then copying it on a scanner or copy machine but at like 75%, 50%, and 25% its original size. Then cut each one out and wrap it around the babies head, you want to have the pattern overlap about 1 inch, just so you make sure it isn't too small all sewn together.
