Raised in the desert of Southwest USA (New Mexico). Learned to knit and crochet and sew at very young age. Always made things. Loooved to craft gifts and cool stuff. Drapes, my wedding dress, etc.
During working and raising my daughter years, there was not much time for anything but mending and altering, but I retired a few years ago and have been making jewelry for sale and gifts and myself. I enjoy this So Much!
In September 2011 my granddaughter was born and I've started sewing again. Upgrade my sewing machine from two very old Singers (1949 and 1962) to a nice little Husqvarna Viking. Wow! So much fun.
